handcut mylar, projected light

Astroscopic is a site specific light environment / sculpture which was commissioned for Unicorn Meat NYC's annual light based art and music festival, Illuminate. I collaborated with the programming and projection team The Sperm Whale, and hung a hand cut mylar sculpture measuring about 35 feet square, onto which they projected. All light art and effects are custom programmed by The Sperm Whale from scratch, using no software. VIDEO HERE.
